After Hours AutoGlass and Texas Street Rods join forces to build a one of a kind 1978 Ford F150 4x4 Off Road Truck. This project started with 1978 Ford Short Bed F150 then the 3 inch body lift was added to help give some height to our beast. While the body lift was being added the bed along with the front clip was removed and sanded by hand to metal. Once to metal the rusted spots where cut out and then had new steel welded in its place. Once all the body work was completed by Texas Street Rods  ,After Hours AutoGlass Pulled all glass and rubbers so that the paint could be laid without and masking tape lines.

After Hours AutoGlass Than ordered a new Ford Carlite windshield and door glasses and a new flat back glass all in a green tint .All these parts will then be re - installed with new run channels and rubber gaskets to insure a nice clean look. All parts used on this truck where purchased through AHAG from glass to tail lights and all parts are oem parts.

11/10/06 Laid a silver base coat with metal flake and then added a nice royal blue trim to upper bed rail hand painted a light blue flamed pin stripe.

12/08/06 We finally got the glass reinstalled on the beast but still have to do some work on the hood.

12/11/06 We have decided on the interior lay out and the speaker sizes but still have not decided on brands of equipment to use. The interior will take a while to do because we have to custom fab a center console and door panels and a new headliner as well.

12/11/06 We have got our 1979 Pontiac Can Am back from paint and will start re installing glass and interior on it in the coming days.  We also have our project Goat ( 1969 Pontiac GTO) ready for paint and will have pictures of both rides as soon as we can . These two cars have involved  2 years of parts searches and  metal fabrication but we finally got them ready to put back together .

12/30/06 Project Off Road is all complete except a few  interior pieces that are being fabricated.
